Edward Nash Hurley (31 July, 1864 14 November, 1933) was an Irish American businessman, inventor and

Hurley was born in Ireland in 1864. However he emigrated to the US and settled in Galesburg, Illinois.[1]

In 1918 with Professor Robert DeLoach he joined the Vagabonds, a group consisting of John Burroughs, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone who made a camping trip to the Appalachian mountains.[2]

He is buried in the Calvary Cemetery (Evanston, Illinois).[3]
