Edmonton Tower,[8] also referred to as the City of Edmonton Tower,[9][10] is a 29-storey 129.84-metre (426.0 ft) tall, office building in the Ice District area of Edmonton, Alberta. It opened in mid December 2016.[6] In total it has 3,716 square metres (40,000 sq ft) of retail space,[11] and over 48,000 square metres (520,000 sq ft) of office lease-able area.[4] It is Edmonton's seventh tallest building.[12][5]

Major tenants

The main tenants announced have been:

  • City of Edmonton - Floor 3, and floors 5 to 19;[9] Opening with tower.[7]
  • Kids & Company - Floor 4 for a child care centre; With a total area of 579 square metres (6,230 sq ft);[9] Opening with tower.[10][10]
  • RBC Dominion Securities - Floors 22 and 23;[9] Opening 2018.[13]

Other tenants

  • Sorrell Financial - Opening early 2017.[14]

Video display

A large video display, using light-emitting diodes, shows images on the exterior glass of the top four storeys of the tower. The display was installed during construction and first used in January 2017.[15] The building's developer, One Properties, stated that the Oilers Entertainment Group is involved with the project.[16]
