Eddie Wright Raceway

Coordinates: 53°36′58″N 0°39′18″W / 53.616°N 0.655°W / 53.616; -0.655 The Eddie Wright Raceway is a British race track in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire.[1] It is primarily used for motorcycle speedway, but also occasionally hosts stock car racing.

History

The track is located on Normanby Road in Scunthorpe.

In 2008, used car dealership Eddie Wright entered into a 29-year sponsorship deal with Scunthorpe Scorpions to rename the track the Eddie Wright Raceway.[2]

Usage

Speedway

The home teams are the Premier League team Scunthorpe Scorpions and also formerly the National League/Conference League Scunthorpe Saints.[3]

Stock cars

British Stock Car Association F1 and F2 and V8 Hotstox were introduced in 2009 and meetings take place approximately once per month. National MiniStox and various classes of banger racing support these events.[4]
