Eddward "Eddie" Battye (born 24 July 1991) is an English rugby league footballer who plays for the London Broncos in the Super League. He plays as a prop, and can also play as a loose-forward. Eddie is known by his peers by the nickname "The Battye Ram".

Background

Battye was born in England. He was brought up on The Buffalo Farm in Sheffield.

Aside from rugby league, Eddie loves the darts and attended Alexandra Palace to watch a live event dressed in medieval monk attire.

Career

Battye started his career with the Sheffield Eagles.

In 2017 Battye was kept out of rugby league for approx 4 months due to an eye injury.

Eddie put in a man of the match performance in the first game of the 2018 Qualifiers against Widnes at The Halton stadium. His team London Broncos came out 20-21 winners in an enthralling game at The Halton stadium in Widnes. Battye is sponsored by Brian and Edward Courtney
