"Ecuador" is a song produced by German DJ and record production team Sash!, featuring Adrian Rodriguez. It was released in April 1997 as the third single from their debut album, It's My Life – The Album. The song became an international hit and reached the top 20 in more than ten countries worldwide.

Chart performance

In the UK, the single was almost as successful as "Encore une fois", reaching number 2 on the UK Singles Chart and earning Sash! another Gold certification for sales in excess of 400,000 copies. The song became a European smash, reaching number one in Flemish Belgium and the top 10 in Denmark, Finland, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland. It also reached the top 20 in Austria, France and Iceland. In the United States, the song was the second number-one on the Hot Dance Club Play chart for Sash!. It was a more successful dance hit in Canada, becoming Sash!'s first number-one on the RPM Dance/Urban Chart, staying at number one for four weeks and ending the year as Canada's second best-selling dance/urban single behind Stars on 54's version of "If You Could Read My Mind".

  • In 2011, the song was remixed with vocals by Jean Pearl in the song "Mirror Mirror".
  • In 2013, the music from the song was used for the dance hit "This Is Nightlife" by the German dance project ItaloBrothers.
  • In 2015, the song was reworked by DJ Olly James and released on Spinnin' Records.
  • In 2017, it was rumored that DJ Samuel Agius was working on a remix version for this hit song.
  • In 2018, it was sampled by the french singer Tal for her song "Mondial".
