Echuca United Football Netball Club is an Australian rules football club based in the northern Victorian city of Echuca.

The club was formed in 1994 with the merger of the Echuca South and Echuca East Football Clubs and competed in the Northern and Echuca League until 1996. After the league disbanded the club joined the Murray Football League since that time.

Club history

The merger of Echuca East Football Club and Echuca South Football Club to become Echuca United Football Club in 1994. The club competed in the Northern and Echuca League as the Hawks, wearing brown and gold vertical-striped jumpers. After the league disbanded in 1996, the club joined the Murray league. The club was forced to change their jumpers due to the Barooga Hawks (already in the Murray league) having the same jumpers. Echuca United then became the Eagles and used the same jumper designs as the West Coast Eagles. At the beginning of the 2002 season the eagles purchased new jumpers with a new eagle design adopted.[3]

Since 1997 the club has played in the Murray Football League, winning its only premiership in 2013.[4]
