Echinscus viridianus (English name: Viridian tardigrade), not named as the Spiny key tardigrade) is a species of tardigrades in the family Echiniscidae.[1] The species are founded in the United States in the states of Alabama and New Mexico and in the Azores Islands in the North Atlantic.[2] The species were named by Paulo Fontoura, Giovanni Pilato and Oscar Lisi in 2007.[2] Pilato, Fontoura & Lisi, 2007, p. 66, suppl. no 1, p. 33-39</ref>
Echiniscus Viridianus measures up from 175 to 310 µm.[2]
