Eazzy

Eazzy is the professional name of Mildred Ashong (born August 1, 1986), a Ghanaian singer, rapper, and songwriter. Ashong appeared on the seventh season of the reality television series Big Brother Africa, in 2012.[1]

Biography

Mildred Ashong was born on August 1, 1986. After a year of working in the music industry, she released her debut album, Twinkle in August 2010. The album featured hit singles "Bo Wonsem Ma Me" "Wengeze" and “one gal" which earned her 2 nominations at the 2010 4syte Music Video Awards and 5 nominations at the 2011 Ghana Music Awards.[2][3]

Her collaboration with Richie "One Gal" from the Twinkle Album earned her the award for ‘Best Story Line’ at the 2011 4syte Music Video Awards.[4]

In 2012 Eazzy and Lynx Entertainment annulled their business contract and mutually parted ways . She signed to Uk Africori Diatribution in 2014

Her second album, Against all odds, was released on iTunes in 2014. This album features the hits "Go Go Wind", "Scream" and "Bad to da bone" which featured Edem. She hosted the Ghana music awards in 2014 and 2015 and was rated best performer of the night with Ghanaian presenter and fashion designer Kofi Okyere Darko. She was also an official judge for The Next Big Thing, a hip hop talent series, as well as for Mtn hit maker season 4 in 2016[5] and season 5 in 2016. Eazzy is currently set to be one of the official judges for Mtn hit maker season 7.[6]

Working on her third studio album, she has released songs like "Kpakposhito", "Nana" featuring stonebwoy, "Forever" featuring Mr Eazi, "Power" featuring Shatta Wale and a solo hiplife /Afrobeats song titled Obaa Gbemi.

Early life

Eazzy attended St Anthonys Junior and JSS school, Mfantsiman Secondary, Institute of languages, University of professional Studies, and Chartered Institute of Marketing UK. She graduated with a postgraduate in chartered marketing UK in Birmingham, at the Symphony Hall in November 2008.
