Notable players
Ross Carney has played Junior Football for Easten Gaels since he was 12 years old. He models his approach to the game on his favourite player Mayo legend Conor Mortimer. Ross is by far the fastest player in the current set up. He can be relied on to score 6-7 points a game.
John Leneghan who retired at the end of 2017 season due in part to a injury. John famously played for 4 minutes for the Mayo juniors before been black carded. This black card put an end to John’s Mayo career. In previous seasons john contemplated transferring to other teams but video analysis of his shooting put an end to any team wishing to take John on a free transfer.
