ENSA – Seguros de Angola

ENSA – Seguros de Angola S.A. is the main insurance company in Angola. It was created in 1978 as Empresa Nacional de Seguros e Resseguros de Angola as (U.E.E.; Unidade Economica Estatal), but was later converted into a joint-stock company.[1]

ENSA is a holding company managing two operating companies: ENSA S.A., an insurance company, and ENSA RE SA, a reinsurance company. ENSA also has holdings in a number of other industries. The firm employs 700 people, 40% of them female. ENSA works through 30 branch offices of its own, and sells its services at 54 post offices and one bank. ENSA's call center can deal with 1,000 clients in one 8-hour work shift. ENSA claims to hold more than 50% of the Angolan insurance market.[2]
