Dyffryn School

Dyffryn Comprehensive is a split-site 11–16 years comprehensive school based in Neath Port Talbot,[1] with the first two years being based in the 'lower' school, and the last three based in the 'upper'. They are around a mile apart from each other with the lower being in Port Talbot itself, and the upper being in Margam.

The current headmaster is Martin Grimes.[2]

In 2009, the school became the first in the county borough to offer a savings facility for its pupils.[3] As of , it has the only 'Interact club' in the area, where pupils think up ways to donate to charity, and choose charities to donate to. Dyffryn is one of the only schools in the country borough to run a school Interact Club. Interact Club is the youth version of the Rotary Club. The Interact Club has raised thousands of pounds for local and international charities which the pupils themselves decide to support.

In 2011 and 2012 the school was in band one of school rankings in Wales. The school is still in band one, which is the highest of the five bands.

Dyffryn comprehensive has a strict uniform so that everyone looks the same and the pupils feel a sense of belonging among other students in the school.
