As the route is yet to be fully electrified, it is hauled by a Tughlakabad Diesel Loco Shed based WDP-3A from Okha up to Vadodara handing over to Vadodara Electric Loco Shed based WAP-4 or WAP-5 locomotive. Vadodara Electric Loco Shed based WAP-4 or WAP-5 locomotive will take train till Lucknow where Lucknow Diesel Loco Shed based WDM-3A will complete remainder of the journey until Guwahati.
