Dustin Thomas Garneau (born August 13, 1987) is an American professional baseball catcher in the Chicago White Sox organization. He previously played in MLB for the Oakland Athletics and Colorado Rockies.
Garneau played college baseball at California State University, Fullerton. He was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 19th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft.
Major league career
Colorado Rockies
Garneau was called up to the majors for the first time on August 19, 2015. In 2015, he batted .157.[1] In 2016, he batted .235.[1]
Oakland Athletics
On August 4, 2017, Garneau was claimed off waivers by the Oakland Athletics.[2] He was added to the Athletics' active roster the next day.[3] He was designated for assignment on May 21, 2018.[4]
Chicago White Sox
On May 24, 2018, Garneau was claimed off waivers by the Chicago White Sox he was then optioned to AAA Charlotte Knights. Garneau was promoted to the major leagues on August 3. The White Sox outrighted him to the minors and removed him from the 40-man roster on October 2, 2018.[5]
