Dumisa Buhle Ntsebeza (born 31 October 1949) is a South African Lawyer, public speaker, author and political activist born in Transkei, now the Umtata,Eastern Cape.He is also a brother Professor Lungisile Ntsebeza.[1] He is the Chairman of the Desmond Tutu Peace Trust[2] and a trustee of the Nelson Mandela Foundation. He was involved in the political struggle against apartheid in the mid-1970s, when he served time in prison during which he completed his law degree.[3] Ntsebeza emerged as a commissioner of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in 1995.[4] Ntsebeza was appointed chancellor of the University of Fort Hare in January 2017.
