An election to Dublin City Council will take place on 24 May 2019 as part of that year's Irish local elections. 63 councillors will be elected from eleven Local Electoral Areas (LEAs) by PR-STV for a five-year term of office.

In 2014, there were nine LEAs electing 6 to 9 councillors each. Following the recommendations of the Local Area Boundary Committee Report in June 2018, the boundaries of LEAs will now revert to their positions in 2009, although there will be 11 extra seats added in 2014 distributed among the LEAs.[1]
