Drug and Alcohol Review is a bimonthly peer-reviewed medical journal covering the health effects of alcohol and other drugs. It was established in 1982 as Australian Alcohol - Drug Review, and changed its name to Australian Drug and Alcohol Review in 1986. In 1990, it obtained its current name.[1] It is published by Wiley-Blackwell, and is the official journal of the Australasian Professional Society on Alcohol and other Drugs. The editor-in-chief is Robin Room (University of Melbourne). According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2014 impact factor of 2.294, ranking it 9th out of 35 journals in the category "Substance Abuse".[2]
