Doug Bland is an American Entrepreneur and former athlete. After college Bland moved to Southern California where he lived in Newport Beach. Bland began his career in event Marketing with Ritz Entertainment, producers of Music Festivals and sporting events.[1]

Career

  • In 1996 became Marketing manager with Penske Motorsports (California Speedway).[2][3]
  • In 1998 was promoted to Marketing Director of the Homestead Miami Speedway.
  • In 2000 founded Short Track Entertainment, a motorsports marketing company that promoted racing events and represented racing properties and race teams.[4]
  • In 2002 Purchased the UDTRA United Dirt Track Racing Association and re-branded the property into the Xtreme Dirt Series.[5]
  • In 2003 Signed TV deal with Speed Channel and signed a 10-year sponsorship agreement with NVE Pharmaceuticals for $13,000,000.00.[6]
  • In 2005 sold Xtreme Series to NASCAR driver Ken Schrader and UMP.
  • In 2005 purchased Springfield Raceway with partner Jerry Hoffman.[7][8]
  • In 2007 Founded the XCF (Xtreme Cage Fighting) and went on to promote 14 Professional MMA events over the next 3 years.[9]
  • In 2010 Founded Bland Sports Inc. a sports marketing agency that represented athletes and sports properties to include Kyle Busch Motorsports, Liquid Nitro Energy Drink, Maxim Racewear, Digital Qpons and UFC Fighter Michael Johnson.[10]
  • In 2014 Became managing partner of the Mesquite Arena in Mesquite TX.[11]
  • In 2015 became owner of the Dallas Marshals Champions Indoor Football (CIF) team.[12]
