Domestic violence in Turkey
Domestic violence in Turkey is a problem.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
About 40 percent of Turkish women have suffered domestic violence at some stage in their lives, topping rates in Europe and the US.[8] The 2013 Global Gender Gap Report ranked Turkey 120th out of 136 countries.
Electronic tags are applied as punishment.[9] Domestic violence is thought to be on decline.[10]
