Dog Creek (Osage River)

Dog Creek is a stream in Miller County in the U.S. state of Missouri.[1] It is a tributary of the Osage River. The stream headwaters are at 38°07′09″N 92°28′21″W / 38.11917°N 92.47250°W / 38.11917; -92.47250 and the confluence with the Osage is at 38°14′58″N 92°26′00″W / 38.24944°N 92.43333°W / 38.24944; -92.43333Coordinates: 38°14′58″N 92°26′00″W / 38.24944°N 92.43333°W / 38.24944; -92.43333.[1]

Tradition states a man was bitten by a dog near Dog Creek, causing its name to be selected.[2]
