Divyank Turakhia (born January 29, 1982) is an Indian-born computer-programmer, businessman, billionaire,[1] serial entrepreneur,[2] and investor.[3][4] His net worth is estimated at $1.76 billion (as of Sept 2017).[5] He founded Media.net, which he sold in 2016 to a Chinese consortium for $900 million,[1][6] the third-largest ever ad-tech deal.[2][7][8][9]

Early life and education

Divyank Turakhia, was born on Jan 29, 1982 to a middle-class family in Mumbai, India.[1] He is interested in coding from young age. [10]

Divyank started coding at the age of eight.[1] He received his early education from Arya Vidya Mandir in Bandra, Mumbai and later graduated from Narsee Monjee (University of Mumbai).[11][12]

Career

Divyank and his brother Bhavin entered business together, having incorporated the Directi Group of Companies, which developed into a major force in India`s IT sector, expanding to cover sectors such as DNS-domain registrations with PDR Pty Ltd (PublicDomainRegister.com), BigRock, Radix[13], and known for staff and training facilities and programs such as Directiplex[14] and CodeChef.
