Diversion Publishing Corporation is a book publisher co-founded in 2010 by Scott Waxman and Charles Stuart Platkin that specializes in original books from authors, media content companies, and bloggers in the categories of commercial fiction and general interest non-fiction, as well as reissuing backlist titles.[1][2][3] It is based in New York City.
Notable books
Diversion Books published former Texas Tech University and current Washington State University head football coach Mike Leach's book, Swing Your Sword: Leading the Charge in Football and in Life, after Leach's original publisher expressed reluctance.[4] The book became a New York Times Bestseller.[5][6] The company also published How to Win at the Sport of Business: If I Can Do It, You Can Do It by Dallas Mavericks owner, billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban.[7] Cuban said that he chose Diversion Books and ePublishing since promoting a physical book was too financially risky.[8][9]
They also published fiction authors like Bradlee Frazer and Jenny Gardiner (a #1 Kindle bestseller).[2][10][11][12][13][14][15] Additional titles include It's Just A F***ing Date by Greg Behrendt, co-author of New York Times bestseller He's Just Not That Into You, Executive Actions by Gary Grossman, The Road Out of Hell: The True Story of The Wineville Murders by Anthony Flacco, and Fae by C.J. Abedi.
