Diphascon faialense is a species of tardigrade in the genus Diphascon of the family Hypsibiidae and the subfamily Diphasconinae. The species is endemic to Faial Island in the middle of the Azores.[1] The genus and species were named by Paulo Fontoura and Giovanni Pilato in 2007.[1] The specific name is based on the island on which it was found.
