Dinos Kalampakos (Greek: Ντίνος Καλαμπάκος; born November 14, 1964) is a Greek retired professional basketball player and a basketball coach. Born in Athens he played the most of his career at Pagrati. He served as assistant coach in Pagrati after retiring, beforestarting his head coach career. From 2016 to 2018, he was the head coach of Koroivos Amaliadas of the Greek League.

Professional career

Kalampakos started from a very young age in the men's basketball team Pagrati, he played for the first time at the age of 14. In Pagrati he stayed until 1990 and managed to gain the promotion to the Greek Basket League, where the first year was the second best scorer, behind Earl Harrison, with 20.4 points per game.

In 1990 he was transferred to Panathinaikos where he played until 1992. The next two years, he played for Sporting. In 1994 he returned to Pagrati, while the 1996-1997 season he played with Ampelokipoi, completing his career in Pagrati (1997-1998).

Coaching career

His coaching career began with Pagrati the 1999-2000 season being the assistant coach of Giorgos Nikolopoulos. From 2000 to 2006 he became the coach of Platonas Schools, training players like Nikos Gikas, Ioannis Dimakos, Spyros Motsenigos and Dimitris Cheilaris.

In 2008 he moved to ICBS where he stayed until 2012. During the 2012-13 season Kalampakos coached Polis Kallitheas and Papagou, before returning to Pagrati ατ the head coach position, staying at the club until 2016.

On 2016, Kalampakos was hired as the head coach of Koroivos Amaliadas of the Greek Basket League.[1]
