Diljott is an actress working in films. She is a part of Hollywood film '5 Weddings' which shall release worldwide in 2018 and her song 'Tere Rang' is also a playback song of this film. Her upcoming film 'Punjabi By Nature', directed by Gurbir Grewal and a Hindi film as a lead shall release soon. Her recent single track song 'Just Love You' [1] garnered her appreciation all around the world. Other single track songs 'Tere Rang', Akh Mataka and Maa Meri were released last year.

Career

She has also attended Anupam Kher's Actor Prepares, Mumbai and is a trained Kathak, western and a folk dancer. After working with photographer Dabboo Ratanani, she featured in various advertisements such as Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Larsen and Toubro, for various clothing brands and on the cover of various national magazines and went on to do the films. She can speak English, Punjabi, Hindi fluently.

She featured in the Punjabi song ‘Patiala Peg’ opposite Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh,[2] which became a hit track worldwide.[3] She also did a film as a lead ‘Idiot Boys’ in 2014. Diljott’s films as a lead actress ‘Teshan’[4] opposite Happy Raikoti [5] (Released on 23 September 2016),[6][7] and ‘Yaar Annmulle 2’(Released on 6 January 2017)[8] got huge public response.[9] Her upcoming Film 'Punjabi By Nature', directed by Gurbir Grewal shall release in 2018.[10] Her Hollywood film '5 Weddings', also featuring Nargis Fakhri and Raj Kummar Rao [11] shall release in 2018.[12] Her single track song as a singer 'Tere Rang' released on 9 February 2017.[13] This song has also been selected as a playback song for the Hollywood film '5 Weddings'.[14][15] Recently her new film titled 'Nanak' has been announced, produced by Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty which shall release in 2018.[16] Her next single track song 'Akh Mataka' sung by her released on 10 July 2017.[17] She is a performer on stage as well, having performed at Virasat International Punjabi Film Festival and Awards, Melbourne, Australia in 2016.[18] Her recent song 'Maa Meri' that released in November 2017 is a thanksgiving ode to the mothers. Her new romantic song 'Just Love You' released worldwide on 9 August 2018.

Life and education

Diljott is born to a Punjabi family of academicians and has done her master's degree in Human Rights and Duties from Panjab University, Chandigarh. She topped the University in her Masters and was honored with a University Gold Medal.[19] Diljott was also felicitated with a University Gold medalist for standing first in the University in Graduation too, Bachelor of Arts (Majors in Psychology), Panjab University, Chandigarh.[20] Twice a University Gold Medalist, she has done the Post Graduate Course in NGO Management from Amity University and has also done a Project Cycle Management Course from NGO Management School, Geneva, Switzerland. Additionally, she has done a Certificate Course in Computer and Information Technology too. Besides this, she has done her schooling from Delhi Public School, Chandigarh.

She has also been very active in sports and believes in being fit and healthy. [21] [22]
