"Diamonds" is an instrumental composed by Jerry Lordan. In 1963, Jet Harris and Tony Meehan's recording of the piece became a number one hit in the UK Singles Chart,[3] where it spent three weeks at the top of the UK chart.[4]

Jet Harris used a Fender Jaguar electric guitar for the recording[5] and Jimmy Page played rhythm on an acoustic guitar.

The Shadows, without their former members Harris and Meehan, recorded "Diamonds" in 1983. In May 1963, the Ventures recorded it for their Surfin' album. [6]
