Deportes Castro is a Chilean professional basketball team located in Castro, Chile. The team currently competes in the Liga Nacional de Básquetbol de Chile.[1]
History and Notable Performances
Deportes Castro was established in 2003. The team's first coach was Jose Fernandez, who led the team until 2010. Some notable performances are against CSD Colo Colo, on May 5 2008, when they won 119-85. Against Baskonia in 2011 they won with a large margin, 112-71. In 2013, against Puebla Fereiro they won 96-73. Against Al-Hashkim in December 2013 they won 129-76. And perhaps the largest victory was in January 2014, when they played Barcelona, in Barcelona, and won 86-82.
