Deca- (and dec-) sometimes deka- is a common English-language prefix derived from the Late Latin decascode: lat promoted to code: la ("(set of) ten"), from Ancient Greek δέκας (dékas), from δέκα (déka, "ten").^[1] It is used in many words.
