Day of the Armed Forces is a national holiday in Kyrgyzstan celebrated annually on May 29 commemorating the founding of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic. The event is marked by military parades, fireworks and concerts throughout the country.[1][2][3]

History and Celebrations

The Day of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan was established by the Decree of the Government on May 19, 1994 at the initiative of the Ministry of Defense of Kyrgyzstan. On May 29, 1992, the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic was founded.[4][5]
