David Yeung, CEO and co-founder of Green Monday,[1][2][3] and founder of Mind Reset Institute.[4][5]

Biography

David Yeung is an environmental advocate and founder of Green Monday, a Hong Kong-based social venture that takes on climate change, food insecurity, health issues and animal welfare with a diverse platform that shifts individuals, communities, and corporations towards sustainable, healthy, and mindful living.

Following the establishment of Green Monday[6] in 2012, Mr. Yeung launched Green Common[7] in 2015, a plant based concept store. The movement of Green Monday has now spread to 33 countries, with 1.6 million people practicing Green Monday at its Hong Kong origin. Mr. Yeung is also engaged in numerous local and international speaking occasions to raise awareness and address social issue by promoting the benefits of plant-based diets, from the headquarter of Tesla, UCLA, Columbia University, Credit Suisse[8], UBS to TED Talk[9]. International media coverage of Mr. Yeung includes CNBC[10], CNN[11], Forbes[12] and Bloomberg[13]. In 2018, RightTreat[14], Asia’s first food innovation adventure was born under the leadership of Mr. Yeung. Its first product, Omnipork[15], was a game changer with overwhelming success.

Awards and recognition won by Green Monday and Mr. Yeung include "50 Most Innovative Companies", "100 Most Creative People in China", "Asia 100 Pioneers", "Ten Outstanding Young Persons Hong Kong", "Best Idea of the Year". The most recent award is “Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2018”[16] by Schwab Foundation[17].


Mr. Yeung is a graduate of Columbia University and a Director of Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute (SIYLI) [18], Hong Kong AIDS Foundation[19] and Hong Kong Buddhist Association[20]. He is also the author of a number of best-selling books on Zen wisdom and mindfulness.

Career

Yeung, a graduate of Columbia University,is the Managing Director of Fortune Park Holdings and Chairman of retail groups Visual Culture and Shine in Hong Kong.
