David Yale

David Eryl Corbet Yale FBA (born 31 March 1928), is a scholar in the history of English law. He was Emeritus Reader in English legal history at Cambridge University and is a life fellow at Christ’s College.[1]

Yale was educated at Queens’ College, Cambridge where he studied law. Upon graduating in 1949 with a starred first he was offered tenure at Christ’s College, Cambridge where he stayed until 1990. He taught briefly at Yale University. [2]
