David Malone (swimmer)

David Malone (born 18 September 1977 in Dublin) is known as a bi-lateral amputee swimmer and Paralympic medalist.[1] He won gold at the 2000 Summer Paralympics and held the world record for 100m backstroke for ten years.[2] He retired from competition in 2008.[3] He currently is the head of Paralympics Ireland.[4]
