David Maiden

David Maiden (7 August 1971) is a Scottish former professional rugby league footballer of the 1990s and 2000s, and coach of the 2000s and 2010s. He played at club level for North Queensland Cowboys, Gateshead Thunder, and Hull FC, as a centre, second-row, or lock/loose forward.[1]

After Maiden finished at North Queensland Cowboys in 1995 he moved to England to play for Gateshead Thunder. The original Gateshead club later merged with Hull FC, and he played a number of seasons for Hull FC. From 2010 until 2012 he was the coach Northern Pride which is based in Cairns, North Queensland and plays in the Queensland Cup.[2]

Maiden was a Scotland international and played at the 2000 Rugby League World Cup.[3]
