David Futrelle is an American freelance writer and commentator, and a self-taught expert on the manosphere, online men's groups that purport that men are actually at a disadvantage in gender equality.[1] He writes primarily about the manosphere on his website We Hunted the Mammoth.[2] Based in Chicago,[1] Futrelle has written for such publications as HuffPost, Salon, Chicago Reader, Time,[3] Money,[4] The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Elle[5] and The New York Times.[6]
