David Wayne Johnson (born October 24, 1959), is a retired American professional baseball player who was a pitcher in the Major Leagues for five seasons from 1987–1993. Johnson played for the Baltimore Orioles, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Detroit Tigers.

A Guideposts article titled "Against the Odds" by Dave Johnson appeared in the May 1990, issue of the magazine (pp 2–5). He currently works as an analyst for MASN.[1]

Johnson currently resides in Kingsville, Maryland. His son Steve pitches for the Orioles as of 2012.[1][2]
