Dasuha, Faisalabad

Dasuha (Urdu: دسوہا) is a village near Faisalabad District in the state of Punjab, Pakistan. It is located approximately 13 km from the City of Faisalabad on the Samundri road. Its old name was Chak Two-hundred-forty-two-rb (242.) Dasuha Govt Zamindar high school was the first muslim High School in british ruled indian punjab established in 1911. Mehr Abadan had the vision to construct this school by selling off his own land so that the muslims could also acquire education, in very trying times of sub-continent history. Indeed many have benefited from Abadans sacrifice, the first Naval Chief of Pakistan was a graduate of this school also many other famous individuals such as a former Prime Minister, members of pakistans first field hockey olympic gold medal team,numerous military officers, doctors and engineers, famous lawyers (Mehr Sadiq).
