Darshan Mandhana is an Indian male model who is currently crowned 1st runner up at Mr. Gay India 2017 and will represent his country at Mr Gay World 2017.[1]

Biography

Mandhana was born to conservative Marwari parents. His family originally hails from a small town in Jaiselpur near Kolhapur, Maharashtra. He did his schooling from Sanjeewan Vidyalaya, Panchgani and achieved his master’s degree from Indira Institute of Management, Pune.[2]

Career

Darshan started his career as an HR professional at Shaze. He then applied for a third time to Mr Gay India World contest for which he won the title at last. According to him, this victory gave him a confidence and acceptance for his homosexual orientation.[3]

Private life

He revealed to his parents that he was gay six years ago which forced him to almost go homeless as he often visited psychologists and endocrinologists on the advice of his parents so he could be cured.[4]
