Dale Husemoller

Dale Husemoller is an American mathematician specializing in algebraic topology and homological algebra.

Life

He was born in 1933.

Career

Husemoller completed his Ph.D. at Harvard University in 1959. His doctoral supervisor was Lars Ahlfors. His dissertation topic was Mappings, Automorphisms and Coverings of Riemann Surfaces.[1]

He did his research in algebraic topology and homological algebra. He is known among other things for his textbooks on fiber bundles and elliptic curves.

He is currently a professor at Haverford College[2] and a visiting professor at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.
