Daher, or DAHER, is a French industrial conglomerate. Daher works in the aerospace, defence, nuclear, and automotive industrial sectors in the fields of manufacturing, services and transport.
History
The company was established in Marseille, France in 1863 by Alphonse Barban. The company was subsequently acquired by Paul Daher in 1898 and renamed Daher & Cie. The company's activity was then limited to maritime transport and foundry product trade.
In 1941, the company Lhotellier Montrichard is born in the middle of the second World War. The company positions itself in packaging and conditioning sectors and begins to enter the defense industry by manufacturing wooden boxes for American forces.
In 1972, the Daher group turns to nuclear power and installs 500 t cranes for the construction of French nuclear power plants.
Almost 25 years later, in 1999, Lhotellier Montrichard joins the Daher group.
In 2007, Daher acquired the Germany nuclear company Nuclear Cargo + Services (NCS), based in Hanau Germany. This marked Daher's first major push into the nuclear sector. Subsequently, the U.S. Company, Transport Logistics International, Inc. became part of the Daher group on January 1, 2010 [1]
On 27 June 2008, EADS announced its intention to sell a controlling interest in EADS Socata to Daher.[2] On 3 November 2008, EADS and DAHER announced that they had reached an agreement for DAHER to acquire a 70% share of Socata.[3] On 7 January 2009, DAHER confirmed its acquisition of a majority 70% stake in SOCATA.[4]
In 2010, Daher sets it first activity in Mexico with a composites factory in Nogales.
In 2011, the Daher group announced in early September the acquisition of Vanatome and Verdelet, two key players in the supply of equipment for nuclear power plants.[5]
In 2013, Daher company celebrated its 150 years of existence and announced in November the acquisition of the aeronautical equipment manufacturer Dyonix.[6]
In 2013, Daher becomes a major partner for the Airbus H160 helicopter, designing and manufacturing the tail boom and Fenestron.
In 2016, the TBM 930 turboprop aircraft version is launched, and the 800th TBM comes off the assembly line.[7] [8] [9]
In 2016, Daher reinforce its presence in Mexico with a logistics base in Queretaro. [10]
In 2017, Daher signs a logistics flow management contract with Airbus.

Daher’s activity includes the design, manufacture and maintenance of the TBM family – a single-engine turboprop aircraft. Daher also offers maintenance, repair and technical support of other aircraft in the same category.

As an aircraft manufacturer, Daher developed three areas of expertise : metals, composite materials and assembly.

Daher designs and operates logistics, industrial and supply chain services for clients in aeronautics automotive and other industrial sectors.
- Industrial logistics: Daher design and operates inbound, outbound & aftermarket logistic flows for its client.
- Manufacturing services: Daher realizes, in-situ or ex-situ, production assembly operations, quality control, repair or rework operations.
- Project services: Daher offers transport solutions for oversized and specific loads, as well as engineering associated services, to answer our customers specific needs regarding to delays, project management or size.
- Supply chain services: Daher provides on-demand engineering services in terms on supply chain design, procurement management, supplier development, production control & planning and transport & flow monitoring.
