Dagmar Roth-Behrendt

Dagmar Roth-Behrendt (born 21 February 1953 in Frankfurt am Main) is a lawyer who served as German Member of the European Parliament. She was elected on the SPD ticket and sat with the Party of European Socialists group.

Political career

She has been member of the European Parliament from 1989 to 2014. From 20 July 2004 until 16 January 2007 and from 14 July 2009 to 16 January 2012 Roth-Behrendt was one of the 14 Vice-Presidents of the European Parliament. Since 2015, she has been serving as Special Adviser to Development Cooperation to European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety Vytenis Andriukaitis on reforming the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE).[1][2]
