Controversies

  • On March 2004, Baby V.O.X Released their seventh and last album, Ride West, featuring several artists such as Jennifer Lopez and Flossy.P, caused controversy when the lead track in their album, Xcstasy, featured the deceased rapper Tupac Shakur without crediting Tupac's agency.
  • On January 2007, Baby Vox Re.V encountered some minor controversy when parts of the choreography for "Shee" was found to be too sexual.
  • On April 2011, RaNia debuted on the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) music program Music Bank with the song "Dr. Feel Good". However, their music video and live performances for "Dr. Feel Good" caused controversy in Korea as some viewers felt that their image and concept were too provocative. RaNia were forced to change their provocative choreography and make minor changes to the outfits. In a later interview, the members of RaNia expressed their regrets on stirring up such a controversy because of their outfits, but still believed that they were not as sexually suggestive as viewers thought.
  • DR Music received heavy backlash after withdrawing BP Rania's African-American member Alexandra Reid from the group on August 19 2017. In a statement by the company, they explained that because of accusations of racism and fans boycotting the groups' newest album, they decided that BP Rania would promote as a 5.[1] After the statement, Alexandra vented on Twitter about the decision.[2]
