DC Super Hero Girls is an upcoming animated action-adventure television series developed by Lauren Faust[1] (known for also being the creator of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic). Based on the web series and franchise of the same name, the series will debut on Cartoon Network in the United States in 2019.[2]

Plot

The series follow the adventures of teenage versions of Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Bumblebee, Batgirl, Zatanna, and Jessica Cruz, who are students of "Super Hero High".

Production

Due to the overpopulating success of the web-series of the same name, a televised version of the series was announced on May of 2017. Where Lauren Faust, who had developed the cult favorite, Super Best Friends Forever shorts serves as executive producer.[1] A year later, a poster showing the first look of the main characters was released.[2]

Batgirl is annoyed when her friends, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Zatanna, Jessica Cruz, and Bumblebee, go face a villain known as Mr. Freeze without her. So Batgirl has to wait for her father, Commissioner Jim Gordon, to fall asleep before she can join her friends and fight Mr. Freeze.
