D.A.V Public School Sreshtha Vihar

D.A.V, Public School Sreshtha Vihar (abbreviation DAVSV) is a part of the Dayanand Anglo-Vedic Schools System spread over India and Pakistan. It is a co-ed school, established in March 1989, and has a nursery school building and the main school building with classes LKG-1st in nursery building and classes 2nd-12th in main school building. The school is located in the heart of East Delhi in Sreshtha Vihar, Delhi. The school is CBSE affiliated. The school motto is "ASPIRE ACT ACHIEVE".

Infrastructure

The school has 90 classrooms, two libraries one in the nursery wing and the other in main school building. It also has laboratories for physics, chemistry,biology, fashion technology and bio-technology.

Facilities

Facilities provided to the students include transportation, counselling and special education. School has their own as well as private contract CNG buses. Counselling is provided to both parents and students.

School Houses

The school has a system of four houses Ramanujan, Madam Curie, Picasso and Amrita Shergill. These houses are represented by four different colours : Green, red, yellow and blue respectively.

Cultural Activities

School holds annual day in which students perform different arts and dance forms which are prepared under the guidance of teachers. Student's achievements are also affiliated in this. Annually, school also holds sports day and various competitions are held. Students, teachers and staff also participate in these competitions.

Principals

Mrs Goldy Malhotra former principal, presently principal of Modern School, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi. Mrs Premlata Garg is the current principal.

Achievements

Mrs Premlata Garg received 'National Award to Teachers 2011' from the President. She was also bestowed with Woman of the Year Award by the Delhi Gynaecologist Forum & WOW India for her contribution to field of education and social work.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
