Cyril C. Smith was a Welsh professional football inside left who played in the Football League for Charlton Athletic.[2][3][4][5]

Personal life

Smith fought with the 17th (Service) Battalion of the Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex Regiment) during the First World War.[6] He was gassed on the Somme in the summer of 1916 and evacuated to Liverpool.[7]
