Cyclops Gear Inc. is an American wearable technology company best known for the CGXLife 2 camera-embedded sunglasses. The company is the primary sponsor of Matt DiBenedetto, and co-sponsor of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and also sponsors the Indianapolis 500.[1][2]

History

Cyclops Gear was founded by Mark Krause and Allan Lord Mounir both action sport enthusiasts who sought a better way to capture life's adventures. The result was a wearable camera as well as camera-embedded sunglasses and goggles which allow for hand free recording without the bulky equipment.[3] With the success of the wearable technology market Cyclops Gear was able to form partnerships with industry leaders including Bombardier Recreational Products allowing them to sponsor athletes and major racing events.[4]

Sponsorships

Cyclops Gear has created partnerships and sponsored athletes providing the funding necessary to enter competitions put on by NASCAR and other corporations including the Indianapolis 500.[5]
