The Curti Zefhir is a two-seat light-single turbine-powered recreational or trainer helicopter unveiled by Italian company Curti Aerospace at the April 2018 AERO Friedrichshafen. Partially funded by the European Commission, its design was revealed in 2016 as the “Disrupt” project. Czech engine maker PBS Velká Bíteš (PBSVB) provides its turbine derated to 141 shp (maximum continuous) from 241-shp. Junkers Profly co-developed its whole-aircraft ballistic parachute. Curti is an industrial group active for more than 60 years in the mechanical engineering sector mainly specialized in industrial automation, packaging machinery and certified aeronautical light alloys parts manufacturing.
