Culicoides bolitinos is an African species of bloodsucking fly that breeds in the dung of the African buffalo (Syncerus caffer), the blue wildebeest (Connochaetes taurinus), and cattle (Bosraces).[1] It is considered a possible vector for African horse sickness.[2]
