The Cropp River is a river of New Zealand. It flows east for 9 kilometres (6 mi) before joining the Whitcombe River, a tributary of the Hokitika River.[1]
On 12–13 December 1995, 1,049 millimetres (41.3 in) of rain fell over the Cropp River, a record rainfall for a 48-hour period for New Zealand.[2] The Cropp river area is amongst the top 5 highest, annual, average rainfall areas in the world.[3]
