Cristo Rey is a Sector in the city of Santo Domingo in the Distrito Nacional of the Dominican Republic. This neighborhood is populated in particular by individuals from the lower middle class. This populous neighborhood was formed in the last big resettlement for industrious peasants mostly coming from North region of the country, especificaly aroung 1970-1974, when the National Zoo was built on Arroyo Riverside.
