Cristian Bălașa (born 27 December 1972) is a Romanian former professional football midfielder, currently manager of Liga III side Pucioasa. Bălașa made his Liga I debut on 31 July 1996, for FCM Târgoviște, in a 1-0 win against Ceahlăul Piatra Neamț. In career he played then for Argeș Pitești, Farul Constanța, Bihor Oradea and Concordia Chiajna. Bălașa retired in 2010 and in 2012 started his football manager career, managing lower league clubs such as: AS Doiceşti, Concordia II Chiajna or Aninoasa and also being for 2 seasons Gheorghe Hagi's assistant coach at Viitorul Constanța.[1] Between 2015 and 2016 he was the sporting director of Chindia Târgoviște.[2]

In February 2018 Bălașa decided to play again, for the team that also he managed, Aninoasa.[3]

His son, Mihai Bălașa is also a football player.[4]
