Coronado High School (CHS) is the fourth-oldest high school in District 11 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States, named for Francisco Vásquez de Coronado. CHS currently has a student body of 1,556.
Coronado High School is located high on Mesa Road and Fillmore Street, on a mesa overlooking Colorado Springs, with a view of Pikes Peak and the Garden of the Gods.
The school's colors are scarlet red and new gold, and the mascot is the Cougar.
Coronado students produce a weekly television show for the student body, which is downloadable from the school's podcast.[1] Coronado students also produce a monthly newspaper for the Coronado community, the Cougar Chronicle.
The school currently competes at the 5-A athletics level.
